haha i seen 6 cm and had to read because your obviously a fellow canadian :P

unfortuantly though we need more info. size of the current pot, size of the other tree, maybe a picture would be great. also did you grow these from seeds? are they indoors, outdoors, how much sun they get and where exactly your located would be great

i've grown those two plants from seeds and i keep the pot indoor,the size of pot is 308x380
the other plant is almost same height&i keep them in a sunny spot near window.

When i saw 6 cm I assumed you were german. Why, I don't know. Why not plant them outside. You won't have to worry like all of us in pots do and you just dig it up at the end of the growing season. I placed mine out in an abandon area in very loose soil. When I tried to dig up the root ball the dirt just fell off and left me with a bare root tree. I out it in my bucket of water and drove home with it . I planted it promptly. my meiwa kumquat tree is seed grown. Click below to see slide show of first year.
