Needing Information

Hello,

About four months ago, I planted three seeds from a lemon I bought at the grocery store. I saw the seedlings starting to grow, and then the flowers began to bloom. The plant smells like citrus, and the leaves are a bit sticky. I have been reading forums and none of the descriptions and photos look like the plant I have. Any information on what exactly I have growing, would be helpful! Thanks :)

You have successfully sprouted a seed of the ultra rare purple flowering lemon.

Umm, that's a petunia, not a citrus. If you're not trolling...I think what happened is the lemon seeds never sprouted and probably a petunia was planted sometime before in the pot or soil or both and left seed behind. Very pretty petunia.

Unfortunately, I'm not trolling. Ah this is so upsetting. All along I thought I grew this beautiful plant from a lemon seed. Ah well, next time I'll follow directions with the citrus specific soil. Thanks BarbJP

Cassandra that is a beautiful petunia . If you want a lemon tree I would call around to all the Home Depots , they had really nice lemon trees for $39.00 and under. I am sure one one of the Home Depots will have some lemon trees left .
