I moved to my new house about 2.5 years ago. The previous owners left a rather large lemon tree root bound in a huge container. I took it out of the container and planted it in the ground along the back side of the yard. However, it has still yet to bear any fruit or flower (I have seen a few buds this last spring but nothing came of them). I'm positive it is a lemon tree due to the fragrance of the leaves. It continues to produce heavy leaf growth and sprouts all along the trunk. I'd say its easily 9 or 10 ft tall now. I do not know what variety it might be but it does have large thorns. Any ideas on the variety or how to get it to produce?
