Yes. plant the trees close to one another in separate containers that are connected. This way the trees do not waste energy putting out limbs towards each other. They will only die as they get shaded. The cillian lemon is a bigger tree. The other three are comparable in size. Anchoring the pots together allows for the tree to lean way out from the other two with out tipping mover

IMHO, I would plant the Sicilian in the ground and leave the calamondin in container; it is one of the easiest to maintain. I have only one calamondin at my lemon farm; because my administrator likes it, it is decorative, it is easy to grow, and he picks "lemons" from it every day of the year for use in cooking.

Its been a while. Thanks you guys for the input. It makes sense to plant the bigger lemon tree.. my new challenge is to find/clear some space for the calamondin, without sacrificing other growing space.
