satsuma from scratch

I did some air layering on some of my Satsuma trees the roots took. The question is will they be as good as the trees I have that have been grafted? And what is the difference will the trees live just as good and as long as the ones that have been grafted. Need advice from someone that knows more about citrus than I do. I have never dealt with citrus before.

You should get the same fruit. The roots may need more care as to the soil type used as citrus on own roots are more particular. The grafted rootstock can afect productivity,

The advantage is there will be no graft union to cause any problems.
