What kind of Lime tree is this?

Hi,

I am trying to find out what kind of lime my neighbors have. It is small, like a Key lime, ping-pong ball sized or smaller, but has a much more aromatic, fragrant smell when you smell the skin of the fruit. The skin is smooth. They turn mostly bright yellow and many fall off the tree when ripe, it seems, since we are always picking them up off the ground and they are still hard and fresh. The tree itself is maybe 12'-15' tall and fairly wide. Unfortunately my neighbors do not know what kind of tree it is since it was there when they moved in. I was thinking maybe it was a Limequat? But I may be very far off track. We would like to buy a tree like this and use it for cooking as well as making Gin & Tonics :)

The fruit is on the tree now, but is not ripe yet. Again, the smell of the skin of the fruit is very sweet and aromatic.

Thank you... Steven
