Hi Brian..can you please add more info? For instance, are the white spots embedded in plant or can they be scrapced off?
Are there spots on leaves, too? Do you see/feel a sticky residue or trunk/foliage?
As for pests, the two I know of, (slow moving) are mealy and citrus scale. If you have a picturs it will be most helpful.
You can do a search at www.wikipedia.com Type in name of bugs in search box, and click enter..Pics and info should pop up. There's many other sites w/pics of pests, too, if Wikipedia doesn't offer enough info.
When a plant has bugs, leaves/fruit can grow deformed.
I'd check the entire plant, over and under leaves, everywhere. Try scraping off the white spots. Toni
