hi, sorry im not an expert, just gonna say what i have read from other posts. a lot of people want nice neat trees so they always pinch and prune, then wonder why they get no fruit. i think i read that the trees will not flower or fruit unless they have a certain number of new shoots or nodes or something like that - sorry to the experts, i dont know any of the terminology!!! so when newer growth is cut off or pinched off, we are holding the tree back from fruiting. i think fruits will only grow on newer shoots rather than old woody stems, but dont quote me on that, just something i think i read! how to get around this i dont know, im sure this is a good place for one of the more experienced members to jump in.........

i let mine grow pretty wild - within reason. there is a certain charm to the haphazard way some of them grow :D

Thanks aesir22. I think that you will be vindicated by the experts. The solution might be to let them grow and them cut back once unsightly branches turn woody, which will then promote new growth. What do you think?

yeah maybe thats the trick to getting it working!i have the problem with one of mine that i want more leaves, not blooms lol

They fruit on new wood. If you want to trim the tree for tidy sake but still have fruit, do it after the fruit is set.
