No, it is not normal. Photos will help. It sounds to me more like uneven watering practices. How frequently are you watering? Are you watering with the same amount of water every time? Was there a period of time the trees were not watered, then watered heavily (to try to "catch up"?) Leaf drop can happen if the trees got too dry, fruit splitting due to uneven watering practices. Are you fertilizing regularly? All these things can contribute to the symptoms you're experiencing. If you would post photos, that will help us to be able to determine what might be going on.
