Like the title says, I have a sappy-looking wound around a thorn on one of my variegated pink lemon trees.
Really-high-res images can be found here by clicking the upper-right of the photos and selecting "view full resolution."
The stuff that looks like spiderwebs is cat hair. The trees are currently inside and were not wounded while they were outside (about three weeks ago.) The only issue they had were some raised brown dots that I'm pretty sure were scale insects. I've pretty much eliminated those, but I have no idea what this is!
Any idea what this is or what I should do about it?
