| Howdy, I have what I believe to be a Rough Lemon tree growing in my backyard (I live in Central Florida).
It fruits prolifically, and just keeps getting bigger. I planted it from seed about 10 years ago, and it is about 35 feet tall now.
It has recently become a problem, as it is branching out and scraping against the top of our back porch, dropping heavy fruits into the gutter rims.
My question is: At what height do these trees cease to grow? I've looked around on Wikipedia and other sites, and have been unable to find consensus. I don't wish to cut the top of this tree off, but it continues growing every season and it is starting to get out of hand and make yard work in that area near impossible. If anyone has experience with these plants and can reassure me that it won't overtake my house next season, I would be grateful.
Thanks,
Ben |
