Grafting on citrus aurantifolia

Hello,

I am relatively new to this, so please excuse the amateur question. I have two neglected key limes (citrus aurantifolia). I cut one down nearly to the ground and pruned the other heavily to get it into shape.

Anyway, the one that I cut down to the ground is sending up a lot of new shoots from the stub. This game me an idea and I was wondering if it would work out. Can I graft other varieties of citrus on the new shoots? I am thinking navel orange or meyer lemon.

I don't know if aurantifolia can be used as a rootstock or not and whether there are restrictions on what, if anything, can be grafted on it. So please let me know your expert opinions.
