Fruit salad citrus

Does anyone own a store bought multi graft citrus? I bought one from Home Depot and am scared to death to trim it. After paying so much for it, I don't want to lose any of the grafts or risk the root stock taking over. I know that it has to be trimmed to keep it in balance but am unsure how much.

I would expect that as long as you don't cut any branches back to where they connect to the next branch you won't have a problem. I wouldn't think you would be in any hurry to prune your tree at least for a few years and then only if you feel it really has to be re-shaped to hold it's shape and balance.

Hi
Curious as to what varieties are grafted?? Are they all growing equally well??
Those box stores have such useless tags . I recently found some that said "Citrus" Gee that narrows it down to what? 4,ooo possibilities lol??
only ones I've seen were custom grafted. gary

Coonsber, I read this post and your previous post about the tree that "died". I would think you could find reputable nurseries in your area which sell citrus. The big box stores are notorious for selling poorly cared for and mislabeled plants.
