For starters this is a picture of one of my Meyers lemon trees. I have two and now both have this sap type growth which started a few weeks ago and now the branch that it is on seems to be dying. Can anyone tell me what it is and if I should cut off the branch before it infects the entire tree? The growth is that pink looking thing protruding out of the side of the branch. The rest of the tree is doing great. In fact I have a lemon on one of the trees that is about the size of a large marble.
