I like both for different reasons, and use them differently, Heritian. I prefer to use either a Eureka or even more preferrable, the Santa Teresa Femminello lemon for zest (Santa Teresa has even more oil in the peel than Eureka does, and has an extremely intense "lemony" scent and flavor). I use it in baking exclusively, because it imparts that really lemony flavor. And, for certain dishes, it will be Eureka or Santa Teresa lemon juice that gives the dish the exact flavor I'm after.

I like to use my Meyer lemons in certainly cooking instances and I prefer Meyer lemonade and Meyer limoncello (I know my Italian ancestors would be rolling in their graves, but that's my opinion - I like the flavor the Meyer lemon peel imparts in our limoncello better than Santa Teresa). And in other cooking dishes that I don't want such a strong "lemon" note.

So, different fruits for different applications. Not one over the other.

I agree with both, but in my opinion Eureka has easier use in cooking than Meyer.
For my smell and taste, Eureka is better than Meyer.
I know it, Johnmerr will disagree with me... :)
But they are so different that I do not know if they are comparable.

Yes, Hermitian, Four Winds and I think Walter Andersen Nursery in Poway has also carried it in the past. It is a very nice lemon tree. Rather rangy growth habit, but the fruit is very worthwhile growing if you are a lemon aficionado.
