I don't know how freezing the weather gets in Texas. I am in 7b and we get freeze at night. My Citrus trees 3 of them are planted in 20 Gallons utility plastic boxes and each box is on a roller I brought them in the garage now when it is sunny day the front of the garage get 6 hours of sun I roll them outside in the sun then back in at night. If there is no danger of freeze in your area I would leave it outside.
