Royal Rainier Cherry tree

Hi, I live in Sacramento, CA. In our yard we have a Craigs Crimson Cherry tree (self-fruitful). We just purchased a Royal Rainier Cherry tree and we're told the Crimson cherry will pollinate the Royal Rainier. We do not want to plant the Royal Rainier if this is not the case. Please help. Thank you.

Piedmontagl, this is the Citrus Forum :-) You'd be much better off posting your question over on the Fruits & Orchard forum on GW. Short answer is yes, though (I have about 8 different cherry varieties, including the two you are asking about, and my C'sC is for pollinating 2 of my RR's).
