| I bought Bourbon this year even though it is not a pruning type 3. Hope to see a few blooms at least. |

| I treated my Bourbon as a type 3 this yr and I did get a ton of blooms in the spring. Maybe they were later than they should have been but I did get them in spring. Many people treat type 2's as 3's and still get blooms. I think they just come later. Not sure if this is possible for all type 2's and I am pretty sure you would lose some of the double flowers (some come as single if blooming on new wood). Also I think the size of the flowers would change slightly but just wanted to throw this out there for people afraid to buy type 2's bc of pruning practices :) |
