Companion for Arctic Queen

Please help me identify a good companion for Arctic Queen. Her blooms are so dramatic that it's hard for me to imagine what will compliment her well.

Additional requirements:

-Light or brightly colored; the clems will be planted on the side of my dark greyish-brown garage; I'd like a color that will really pop against the dark backdrop.

-Heat and sun tolerant; it's a hot, sunny, south-facing location.

Thank you!
Gala

Although not really into the type II clematis, I have to say that the following type IIs do well in my garden: Piilu, Proteus, The President, and Blue Light.

I have mine planted with a red climbing rose and it is lovely, so that color combination might work for you as well. Blue Light or The President would be a very pretty combination.

I have mine with Daniel Deronda. It does get South exposure and it doesn't fade too much. Not like some of the others that I have. The blooms are purple, single and big so there is a lot of contrast with Arctic Queen.

Thanks for your suggestions! Daniel Deronda and The President look like good possibilities.
