A search on this forum should turn up several recommendations. I usually buy locally but when I do order online I buy from Brushwood. Dan provides excellent service and if you're ordering several the postage is less from Brushwood than some.

I agree that Brushwood is a great source. I vines are twice the size as Donahhues. Dan is very good about emailing you back with any questions.

Try the excellent customer service from Debbie on www.silverstarvinery.com or www.songsparrow.com. I had very good experiences with these two companies. Good luck!

One of our forum members has compiled a very good, detailed list of mail order sources for clematis. Brushwood, Joy Creek and Silver Star are more clematis specialty nurseries and tend to have large selections to choose from and are considered more or less to be the "big 3". Although I usually buy locally as well, I've ordered from both Brushwood and Joy Creek and have been very satisfied with both the vines and the customer service.

I'm sure you've ordered Miguel Viso among others Jeanne. Mine is to be shipped in early February so I should be getting it within the next couple of weeks. I've got to get busy and make room for the new ones.

I ordered from Dan a month ago and concentrated on the newer viticellas. Very few 2's do well in my garden. I've already started trimming and fertilizing. I have so many I have to start early......

BOB..Hi to you and Katie...Yes, I've ordered Clematis Miguel Viso to go into a memorial Clematis Garden I created last year in my gardens just for my Miguel..I miss him so...also tons of new ones...what will I do..I can't seem to stop adding clematis to my gardens..and Katie..hope you are fine and your weather hasn't caused any problems...don't forget your Alfalfa Tea..since you had such wonderful results last year..hugzzzzz to you both..can't wait to start Planting and to think I will begin Pruning my Clematis in 12 days !!..woohoo
