| I have had a Polish Spirit for 6 years and it has not bloomed although it gets lots of green leaves. I am going to either move it or toss it and get something else.I already have Etoile Violette which blooms beautifully and I have been told Polish Spirit is similiar. It's hard for me to make this decision as I know there are so many beautiful newer varities but yet this would have a really big root system and might take off in another location.
What is your opinion ? Lois |

| Are you cutting it back to about a foot tall every year? My Polish Spirit blooms longer and more than my Etoile Violette. I prefer it. |

| Well, maybe I should move it and give it another chance. It's been cut almost to the ground every year so possibly it is the location. Thanks. Lois |

| I've read on one of these forums that PS is one that likes a lot of sun. Mine is in half shade, and hasn't bloomed once in about 5 years, though one of the texansis hybrids next to it blooms and a Ville de Lyon also close by blooms profusely. I am planning to move mine when I've found a good spot for it and put a more shade-tolerant plant in its place. |

| Mine is growing up a crabapple tree so doesn't get full sun but did grow to the sunnier side. |
