| It's three years old and was part of a trio from a clematis "grab bag" from Spring Hill Nursery. I can't find the tags now, the other two didn't make it. One was "Mrs.Cholmondeley", but I know this isn't it. I think the other two were "Warsaw Nike" and "Spirit of Poland". I'm thinking "Warsaw Nike", how about you? Also prune 2/3?

| I'm thinking 'Warsaw Nike' as well :-) - 'Polish Spirit' doesn't have that prominent boss of white stamens. Hard prune - Group 3. |

| I agree. 'Warsaw Nike' ! 'Polish Spirit' doesn't have a red tint to the purple. |

| Polish Spirit also has highly colored anthers which yours does not so I agree that it is Warsaw Nike which is a pruning group III. |

| In the following picture, Polish Spirit is the top flower. Note the colored anthers which yours does not have.
