| Doesn't hurt to try. I planted a Montana at one end of a fence a few years ago and pruned it back as I always do a newly planted clematis. I was wishing I had one on the other end of the fence and on a whim I stuck the cutting in the ground at the other end of the fence and it grew. I don't know the odds, but it can happen. |
