Ramona location

I *adore* Ramona, and at the end of last year I ended up with three of them, two unplanted. Those have overwintered fine in their sunk pots, and now I have to decide where to put them (not that I actually have any room). The nursery tag says "Morning sun only" and Clematis.com says "A superb cultivar for hot sunny locations."

Anyone with experience with her in approx. my zone, please tell me where she has done well for you. Thanks!

My zone of 8B in Texas is truly hotter during the summer than you and more intense sun..I have one in FULL SUN almost all day long and the other one in full sun from 12:30pm on...and they both are so happy!!..so for a very happy "Ramona"..give her full sun...Jeanne

Thanks to Jeanne, and I'd still love to hear from someone in my zone(s), especially if you've found her *not* to need full sun, since I don't have a whole lot of full-sun places to put mine.

I'm in middle TN and my Ramona gets more morning sun until close to noon then afternoon sun, which I have found she really loves. Here is a link from last year. http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/clematis/msg051911444274.html

I gardened in Denver for 15 years. Your part sun is equal or more to full sun anywhere else. Sorry, altitude, you know! Being serious -part sun will do just fine. Some types of clematis don't do well in full sun in CO. Your will need to water them well, drip system did the trick for me in full sun.
