Clematis wilt??

grdn

I am a fairly new to gardening and decided that I would try to start a few plants from seed this year. I started with Clematis-Radar Love about 8 weeks ago. Everything was great up until a week ago. The plants, each about 10 inches long, all started to die back and shrivel up. I now have 2 left of the original 12. What can I do to ensure these ones survive? Or better yet, what shouln't I do? They are still inside at a south facing window where they get lots of light. I mist the soil regularly and keep them slightly moist. I put thin, long spikes in the pots when I potted them up so they have something to grow up.

I lost two mature plants last year to wilt as well.

Maybe I just have no luck with these guys!

Thanks for any advice!
