SAC Pinch out? Or just prune?

This may be a "silly" question, but here goes...!

I know that you hard prune SAC down to about 6 inches (or even down to the ground as some do) in early spring, which I've already done now.

Am I supposed to also "Pinch out" the growing stems? I know "pinching" is quite different than "pruning".

Or do I just leave it at the spring prune and let'er rip?! lol

I don't think you need to bother doing that with SAC unless it is very young.

The ones that benefit the most from this are those which have few vines or are thin and scraggly.

Thanks buyorsell. It's one year old now. I planted last summer. I don't think it's too thin and scraggly.
