Can anyone help ID this clematis? I'm in zone 7 Tennessee and it has been blooming a week or so now. Thanks for any help and suggestions for care/pruning, etc.

It could be Ruby Glow, but that's just a guess based on a picture in a book. It's gorgeous!

Looks more fuschia to me than purple. Once again, what colors we see can be affected by the age of the bloom, the color balance on the camera used to take the picture, the color balance on our computer monitors, and the exposure and growing zone the plant is in. Based on the fact that it is blooming now in Tennessee, I know that it is a type II and that is as far as I am willing to go.
