Semu in warmer climate

When would Semu bloom, for example, in southern Ohio? Seems to me that July bloom would be problematic here in a hot summer.

When - depends on the weather. It's zone 4-9 so no problem with heat. I believe all clems. do well with a bit of shade in the mid afternoon, especially the light colored ones. The dark ones do well with full sun.
