Nelly Moser making new shoots & leaves like a house afire!

I took the forum advice and pruned her right above the 2nd node from the ground up. I added Plant-tone fertilizer into the entire bed because I added another 2-3 inches of garden soil to replenish what had washed away from rain or watering. Then I put about 6 alfalfa cubes (thank you Petland!) into the ground all around her roots. A couple of weeks later, I see a significant proliferation of new leaves and vine stems upward from the 2nd node up from the ground. I hope that I get a whole lot more than the 5 flowers I got last year.

Do I have any more work to do on this clematis vine now to ensure more blooms?

when i first got my nelly i didnt know what i was doing.
i pruned her to the ground and got many leaves that spring but no flowers. next year i left it alone and got tons from the ground up.
it is a B1 clematis which requires a light prune each spring.
