If this is a current photo and it's blooming now in your area, you have one that will be classified as an early large flowering clematis, and will be a type 2 prune plant. Enjoy having your own unique plant unlike anyone else's. For nurseries to grow known hybrid varieties, they grow from cuttings, not from seed. However, the hybrids nurseries were selected from seed grown plants that had desirable qualities.
