It looks like a clematis to me, but I can't help you on what species.

It may be growing in the wild but it is a widely cultivated variety - Clematis armandii. Native to China, the large, lance-shaped evergreen leaves are characteristic of this species. Very popular in milder climates - zone 7 and above.
