Can clematis take other plants close to their feet?

I recently transplanted a large 'Henryii' and a Japanese anemone that was next to it -- not the species, a less aggressive cultivar. However, I guess I got some of the anemone roots in the root ball, since now anemone is coming up near the base of the clematis. I think it would look nice to leave it there, but I will definitely move it if you all think that would be bad for the clematis. What do you think?

Depends on how good you are with keeping Henryii fed and watered. :)
