Moving Clematis Integrifolia Alba

lsst

I purchased a Clematis Integrifolia Alba this spring from Brushwood nursery. It has been in the ground since April.

Since it is a baby, it is just one stalk about 9 inches tall with a bloom at the top.

I planted it in my rose garden behind my May Night salvia.

The salvia has spread and is beginning to cover the clematis.

Should I move the clematis now since it has not been in the ground very long or wait until fall?

I could leave the clematis alone and cut back the salvia.

What would be the best for the Clematis?

The salvia grows about two feet tall and I understand this clematis grows 2-3 feet tall.
