Clematis

I was told by Master Gardeners and the Home Extension Office that Clematis would not grow in our area. I have 4 that are doing extremely well. The ones I bought from Walmart, Lowes and Home Depot did not make it. I have even split 2 of them and transplanted them. They are doing great. They are beautiful. Don't rely upon others for your knowledge of what you know and can do with thorough research. I also have Hybrid Tea Roses that are 16 years old. Uh.......not suppose to be able to do that either. 10 years was the life expectency. My Oklahoma Rose is lookiing rough though. Did plant 2 David Austin Roses this year. They are gorgeous and doing well but I did buy the ones for the south.
