Clematis Gurus, I need help! I have two clematis that seem to be in dire trouble...Here is the rundown....Plant number 1: I am not sure of the variety, and it is in it's current location for about five years now. All through April, It had given me lush foliage and huge blooms, and now that there are these gorgeous seed heads, the plant seems to be withering away or something. All the stems seem to be brown and brittle, and all the leaves are turning brown starting from the ground up....

The Second problem plant, again, I am unsure of the variety, but it never seemed to have awakened from its winter slumber. it is showing very sparse signs of life, a few leaves here, a very small bloom there...etc...This plant was planted about the same as problem number one....
