"Etoile Violette" is one of my favs..especially the many shades of Purple she goes through during her reign!!..So much so that I have two of her...thanks for sharing yours is stunning!!..Jeanne

River,the fence is about 6 and a half feet.But it's OK because this variety is one that should be cut back to about 18 inches in the very early spring.Growing conditions are pretty normal except for good mulch at the base and a little 10-10-10 in early spring. Joe
