Hello all, I posted this thread in the "Name that plant" forum and was told it was a clematis vine.. that's what my landlord told us, but it hasn't bloomed in the two years that it's been growing there. Now if it was planted by his mother like he said then it's been in the same spot for probably 20+ years! We pruned it down to the ground the first year we were here (2007) but haven't touched it since in hopes that it would bloom... nothing though.

Any ideas what variety it is? If in fact it is a clematis? I know it's hard to tell without the blooms.. in fact it is probably impossible to tell.. but I am hopeful. I will give it one more year to see if it blooms and then it will be cut out once again. However, if it's a clematis I will give it something better to climb on and/or maybe even move it.

Am I a clematis? If so what variety?
