So this specific plant is the reason I decided to grow clematis. I pass this on a neighbor's fence and everytime I see it I love it more. I actually worked up the nerve to stop and ask what cultivar it was, but it turns out the place is not owner-occupied and the tenants have no idea. The seedheads are just amazing, and the flowers are very short-lived. In fact, for three years I had no idea what the flowers looked like. Any ideas who this beauty could be?
