Princess Diana

I bought a Princess Diana today, my first texensis. Reading quite a few negatives on this plant. Was this purchase a mistake? Have never had any mildew here, probably a climate thing in NE Iowa. Anyone from my zone growing this and liking it? Any variances in height (6-8'), listed as sun or partial shade on COTW.

It grew taller than that for me and mildewed badly every year. I currently have it potted to move to a hotter location with better air circulation to see if that will help.

I live in northern Vermont and grow Princess Di. For me, it's a HUGE plant, easily 8' tall. It grows very well in only afternoon sun, and I really love it. It's very easy to grow, and the blooms attract hummingbirds, which I love. I don't think you made a mistake at all.
