Last spring when we first moved into our first house, my mother-in-law gave me a clematis and I planted it next to this tree thinking it'd just grow up the tree. I was really new to gardening & had no idea what I was doing, and the clematis really never grew or bloomed and I honestly had completely forgot about it.

This spring when I was cleaning up the yard I noticed it had some leaves growing on the old canes and was so surprised! Knowing more about gardening, I picked up a trellis from lowes and got it in the ground and the clematis has been thriving.

I was so excited to see it bloom today. I had no idea what the blooms would look like since it had no tag! If any one knows what type this is I'd be most thankful. Thanks for listening to my story. :)
