If you see my message,you can see that mine are a purplish gray and really ugly. The response I got is that it's the weather. Mine is a 3rd year too and should be stunning. I have tons of flowers but they are so ugly I want to spray paint them. Oddly enough I think my Hagley Hybred are prettier than usual. Go figure.

Thanks, I was hoping that was the case. Last year I got a second bloom late in the season I guess I will have to wait and see what the second round looks like.

Weather, Clematis seem to really be effected by the weather. I get all sorts of odd blooms especially those with a lot of green on them.

I had a similar problem with one of my Crystal Fountains; the outer petals were more of a green-tinted color than the usual soft purple/blue. I was worried because the other Crystal Fountain finally succumbed to wilt and is now a dried out brown mess. But, on the healthy vine the outer petals eventually extended and transformed to their usual beautiful shade of purple/blue. Go figure.
