I've not seen nor heard of any clematis as yet with an 11 inch flower. However, they way they hybridize them of late, it would not surprise me. Usually, 8" - 9" is the largest flower size so far. At least in my travels through catalogs and the internet. I have, to date, 44 different varieties, and one with an 11 inch flower would certainly be of interest!

This was the BIG one my friend was telling me about .... SPRING HILL NURSERIES of Tipp City, Ohio. It was the one with the eleven inch wide clematis named BEAUTIFUL BRIDE. 19.99 each. (white)

Wow! This one sounds wonderful! Springhill is sold out, but I'm sure by next year, most of the nurseries that deal strictly or mostly with clematis will have it, and probably less expensive. 20.00 for a 3" pot is a little pricey to me and I've had some not so great items from Springhill in the past. I googled 'Beautiful Bride' and found it won 'Best of Show' in the UK at a Horticultural Show. It sounds fantastic! Thanks for this info!

It is always fun to hear about new clematis that have unique features, so thanks for the information. Check out Spring Hill on Garden Watchdog before ordering from them.

This is my baby from Poland: clematis Beautiful Bride.
The largest bloom was 9". For first year - really impressive
