Yes, no worries about placing it in a full sun location, you are not in a hot climate.

Thanks for the comments. Normaly, my husband never goes with me. This was an exception. He loves my garden but not garden centers. This particular one was very, very busy which made it a bit worse. He did comment that he saw a lot of guys there and overhead many of them talk about gardening. My guy is a motor head. Garden talk just isn't going to happen!

Hania is a climber. It could get up to 8 feet tall, it is free flowering and makes an excellent specimen plant, but does well growing through shrubs or roses. It is a group 2, which means it blooms late spring to mid-summer on old wood, and again on the current season's growth in later summer to early autumn. The plant tag lists it as part shade because the color tends to fade in full sun. (Information gathered from Mary Toomey's Pocket Guide To Clematis.)

ok, 8ft is a little taller than i wanted. i can make it work, i hope. so i am just wondering, how wide could it get? not sure i am asking the right question here but would appreciate any comments. i can post a picture of where i currently have it if that would be helpful.
