Another newbie question...

I want to plant a clematis to climb our front light post, (using the fencing material for it to climb up of course).

At my local nursery they have "Snow Queen" which I thought would be the best because it is rather dark in the area, however there is sun for the clematis.

My question is how many should I plant, 1 or 2? And do I plant it in front of the light post, in back?

Same with a mailbox position?

I'm sorry for these idiotic questions, just want to do it right the first time.

Many Clematis are too big for a mailbox though they are often planted there. I'd only do one.

you could put two on a lamp post. I'd do two different if it was me...
