Pruning of Niobe and Huldine planted together

Before I knew anything about the different pruning groups of Clematis I planted these two together thinking they would be pretty together on a trellis.
Can I prune them both like a 3 - to 8-12" in late winter (my first choice) or should I move the Niobe and replace with another 3?

As far as I know, you can prune Niobe as group 3, it will only delay the bloom, nothing else.

You can prune Niobe as a 3, but in my garden Huldine is quite vigorous, while Niobe isn't. You may want to move Niobe far enough away so that it doesn't get overwhelmed by Huldine.
