Those instructions are correct.

Your photos must already be on a website that allows linking like Photobucket.

You can right click on the image and "Copy Image Location" and then paste it after the html and make sure you use the closing bracket.

OK... I got photos onto Flickr. I typed in
I got a Message Refused response: "Either you did not provide a name for your link, or this does not appear to be a valid Internet URL."

What did I do wrong? It amazes me that this process should be complicated! But then, I am pretty darn unsavvy.

OK, I see that I can't even get the thing I typed to appear in the message asking what to do. @#$%*&!!!! Any suggestions?

Just go to the page with the picture you want to post. Copy the URL from the browser (the text box on the top of the page where you type the web sites' addresses). Then paste it between quotation marks in the code Aliska gave you. It is not that complicated :o)

Also, there is a Test forum here. You can practice there as much as you want.

Your html format is correct, but the actual link URL is wrong.
I see http://www.flickr.com/Clem in need of ID.jpg as the URL. There should be something in the URL that indicates that it's your Flickr account and also, there can't be any spaces in the URL.
Post your Flickr account or send it to me and I'll figure it out. I'm the web master for another commercial garden site, which happens to be a hot subject in another forum (lots o' fun!)

The other poster is right. When I right click on the missing image icon and choose properties, I get this:

Usually when I get %20 in my url's it means spaces. My webhosting site does not like spaces in file names and inserts %20. I tried a couple different things and could not get your photo to embed.

Flickr may be a problem or the way you are getting away with naming your images could be a problem. There should be no spaces in file names. Sometimes people name their files and insert underscore to substitute for spaces which works. I just run mine together with contiguous text characters.
