Did I kill or totally injure my SAC?

I used Roundup near the SAC early spring for some weeds growing around it. That was the day in early spring when I cut back the SAC. I tried to be very careful and used a big cardboard box to shield the SAC from any spray. I also sprayed very sparingly, but my SAC looks totally like something is wrong... :(
Here's a pic of my SAC in 2013 about this same time of year
You can see it climbing well into the hedge. Next pic will be what it looks like now :(
