| I stopped by my local English Gardens about 3 weeks ago and they had pots of Vienetta for sale, for a rediculous price, but I've wanted one for the past 4-5 years, so I was willing, but I was not willing to purchase without seeing an open bloom. I'm glad I waited, because when they bloomed they were all (all 8 of them) Parisienne not Vienetta. (the garden manager jokes with me that I find another mis-labeled plant each time I go there....well if they weren't mislabeled in the first place)
Yesterday I went to another English Gardens and while they were out of Vienetta, I did see another Clematis that I had never seen before and as it was in bloom, I bought it. So my newest is Fairydust (which evidently is a sport of Venusa Violecea). Anyone grow it? ~Chills |

| I don't have it, but I've wanted it since the first time I saw a photo of it. I love the dark purple anthers against the lighter purple. |

| I've had Fairydust in the ground for 2 seasons. I do have it in partial/light shade because my zone is so warm and it seems to do well. I would say it has developed faster than Venosa Violacea which can be slow to grow. Katie |
