I did hard prune my Jackmani Clematis in early Spring, with wonderful results! My vine was loaded with blooms for about two months. Now it is just covered with the remains of the spent blossoms (which have fallen off). Should I clip these back in order to get another blooming period? We only bought the house in June of last year, and I think the garden had been somewhat neglected. The blooms were not as profuse, but it seems to me that there were blooms all last Summer until Fall. I'd love to continue enjoying my vine for longer, if possible!
