I do not cut back my P 2 clematis as our season is too short for a second flush. Many continue to have a few blooms on and off throughout the summer. Not a real flush but nice to see those blooms.

Thanks mnwsgal. I never cut mine either (i.e. Group II). I wasn't aware of that. Maybe it's now mature enough to have the scattered bloom you mention. It sure is pleasant :-)
